Why BRSR?
The focus of corporate reporting is changing from just financial reporting to more holistic integrated reporting, there is a need to provide a longer-term view on value creation of an entity, rather than just shorter-term financial results.
The regulatory requirements are changing in this area, with mandatory report on BRSR for top 1,000 listed companies from the financial period 2022-23. The requirements relating to ESG ratings and sustainable finance and access to capital are also under regulatory consideration.
The FAQ invited eminent speakers from the industry to discuss the evolution of BRSR, practical aspects regarding how corporates are operationalising BRSR, the governance around it as well as the current trends in assurance - reasonable vs limited, choice of standards, etc.
